Merely the Moon

Pop Miwsig’s new music staff on a lyrical indiepop album by Coney Island

Connie Jordan is a musician, clothes-maker and DIY culture blogger currently living in Madison, Wisconsin, where she studies at grad school and puts on gigs at the house she shares with her boyfriend Jason, The House That Willi Built.

Whilst in university in Mansfield, Pennsylvania, Connie played in a band called The Bossettes with her friend Kate. Together they made a set of songs that tingled with warmth and poetry, and were freely available through their Myspace profile and through contact with the band. The Bossettes were unfortunately no more when university ended and Connie and Kate went their ways.

Now Connie has a band called Coney Island, and has made a set of songs freely available through CLLCT.com, a community for free music under a Creative Commons license.

Spring Spring has songs to bring a tender smile to down-turned lips. Full of handclaps, shy embraces and the humble joy of Pop music, it’s where the dew twinkles in light of the moon.

The album is freely available for download here. Meanwhile, see Merely the Moon for regular updates on Connie's creative adventures.
